Your Face & Body Skincare Routine: A Kerl Beauty Guide

A simple routine starts with knowing which tools and products belong together. This guide moves from facial cleansing to your choice of body cleansing, followed by body lotion, optional body butter and lip care whenever you need it.

You do not need to use every cleansing tool in one routine. Choose one of the two body-cleansing options below, rather than using the net sponge and sisal bag back-to-back. Follow each product’s page/label and tool-care instructions, and adjust use to your skin’s comfort.

1. Cleanse your face: Konjac Face Sponge + face wash

Soak your Konjac Face Sponge until it is fully soft before using it. Pair it with your preferred facial cleanser, such as the Fragrance-Free Face Wash. Use gentle movements without scrubbing, then rinse your face and the sponge thoroughly. Allow the sponge to dry between uses (like hanging up by the attached drawstring loop) according to its care instructions.

This is the facial-cleansing step, not a complete facial skincare prescription. Continue with your usual facial skincare as appropriate (or directed by a medical professional); the lotion and butter steps below refer to body care.

2. Choose your body-cleansing option

Option A: African Net Sponge + African Black Soap Body Wash

Pair the African Net Sponge with the African Black Soap Body Wash for your body-cleansing step. Wet the sponge, add body wash according to the product directions and cleanse gently without heavy pressure. Rinse your skin and the sponge thoroughly after use, then allow the sponge to dry according to its care instructions.

OR Option B: Bar soap + Sisal Soap Saver Bag

If you prefer bar soap, choose the African Black Soap Bar or your favourite scented Kerl Beauty bar soap, paired with the Sisal Soap Saver Bag. Place the bar inside the bag, wet it and work up a lather. Use gently on the body without vigorous scrubbing, then rinse thoroughly. Hang to dry and store between uses.

Keep these body tools separate from your Konjac facial sponge. If a tool feels too abrasive, skip it and use a gentler cleansing method. Soap and the sisal bag are separate products unless a listing expressly states otherwise.

3. Moisturize your body: Cocoa + Shea Butter Body Lotion

After cleansing, apply the Cocoa + Shea Butter Body Lotion to your body according to the label. This lightweight lotion is the main body-moisturizing step in this routine. Give it time to absorb before deciding whether you want additional richness in particular areas.

4. Optional extra care: Cocoa + Shea Body Butter

For extra-dry skin or areas that need a richer feel, follow with a small amount of Cocoa + Shea Body Butter, according to its directions. Focus on areas such as hands, elbows, knees or heels, rather than feeling you must layer it everywhere.

This step is optional. If lotion alone feels sufficient, you can stop there. Use the amount and combination that feel comfortable for your skin.

5. Lip care, anytime: Cocoa + Shea Butter Lip Balm

Apply the Cocoa + Shea Butter Lip Balm whenever your lips need care. It can finish this routine, but it is not tied to shower time: keep it handy and reapply throughout the day as needed.

Your routine at a glance

Konjac Face Sponge + Face Wash → Choose African Net Sponge + Body Wash OR Bar Soap + Sisal Bag → Body Lotion → Optional Body Butter for extra-dry areas → Lip Balm anytime.

The goal is a routine that works for you, not more steps for their own sake. Keep cleansing gentle, care for your tools between uses and let your skin’s comfort guide how much you use.

A note on skin health
